A few days away, the famous Syrian musician Malek Jandali is preparing to release his new music album “Concertos”, which aims to preserve his Arab and Syrian heritage and present it to the world in a beautiful way.
The new album, which will be released next May 12, consists of “violin”, “clarinet” and orchestral melodies to be added to the rest of the artist’s artistic career.
A Syrian with high coordination, smart transitions and creative compositions, Global Justice Syria News met with musician Malek Jandali to comment on the new pianist’s album.
Jandali thought that what he really cares about in the album is to convey the message of the Syrian people, to document our cause and revolution, and to present it to the peoples of the world with the soft power of art. Jandali added in an interview with Global Justice Syria News that his first work, or a mother called (The Clarinet Concerto), is a tribute to the detainees and the forcibly displaced, and to the memory of the victims of injustice everywhere and at all times, especially the free children of Syria.

At the same time, the Syrian musician dedicated the second work (Violin Concerto) to “every woman who thrives with courage, especially the Syrian detainees, such as Tal Al Malouhi, Razan Zaitouneh, Rania Al Abbasi with her children.”

Jandali also directed the dedication to all the mothers of the martyrs in Syria, as well as the international journalist Marine Colvin, who was killed by the strikes of the Syrian regime, in addition to his mother, who was beaten and tortured by the Syrian regime.

The Syrian pianist indicated that he worked on employing musical instruments in his new album, as he worked on employing the oud instrument alongside the violin in the second work, in an exceptional harmonious step in a new symphonic form. Jandali pointed out in his speech that the strategic partnership with Qatar Museums and the Years of Culture program produced this huge work to build cultural bridges between countries and peoples of the world.

He explained that he is the honorary musician of Qatar Museums in cooperation with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra and a group of distinguished international musicians led by international maestro Marin Alsop.

The pianist explained, “After issuing the piano concerto and composing and producing seven symphonies that we recorded with the most important international orchestras, the clarinet concerto comes with its Syrian melodies and the performance of the international musician Anthony McGill as a gift to all the oppressed everywhere and at all times.”
