Anadolu Agency confirmed that Turkey attaches great importance to brick house projects in northwestern Syria, in order to secure the return of Syrian refugees who were forced to leave their country.
The agency indicated that the construction of more brick houses continues in the area, in order to shelter the displaced families and the return of refugees from Turkey to their country, due to the absence of a political solution in Syria and the difficulty of living in tents.
She explained that the brick house projects related to the return of Syrian refugees are being implemented under the supervision of Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management officials (AFAD), noting that the projects were established in Idlib Governorate, and the “Euphrates Shield” and “Olive Branch” areas in the countryside of Aleppo.
Clusters of brick houses, which include various facilities such as schools, mosques, health clinics and playgrounds, stressing the interest in providing the necessary infrastructure for these residential communities and providing them with potable water and electricity, she said.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed that his government had taken a new step to prepare housing construction projects with the aim of securing the return of about one million Syrian refugees to their land.
