The National Coalition for Revolutionary and Opposition Forces issued a statement rejecting the return of the Syrian regime to the Arab League.
“After the Arab League’s decision to reinstate the criminal regime, the great Syrian people returned today alone, without official Arab support,” the coalition said in a statement.
The Syrian National Coalition rejected the decision to return the criminal regime to the Arab League and expressed its dissatisfaction, emphasizing that the decision means abandoning the Syrian people and supporting their just demands.
“The decision is a waste of the great sacrifices of the Syrian people’s 12-year revolution against injustice, terrorism and oppression, and the decision creates a clear bias in favor of the criminals,” the coalition said.
He pointed out that strengthening the Assad regime and Iran’s authority in Syria necessarily means the continuing human suffering of millions of Syrians.
“It has led to further brutality, terror and bloodshed by the regime and its allies against the Syrian people, who have been fighting for their freedom since 2011 and were victims of their crimes and brutality in previous years,” the statement said.
The National Coalition stated that the Assad regime does not take into account and does not take seriously the demands of Arabs to kill, arrest and stop the export of drugs and is a supporter and pillar of the mullahs. ‘ Expansionist project in the Arab region.”
“Therefore, betting that war criminal Bashar Assad will change his behavior is a waste of time, and it is unacceptable to allow him to escape punishment for his war crimes against Syrians.”
The coalition noted that “the international envoy’s approach in the name of ‘step by step’ served the regime and legitimizes its existence, and today the Arab League has rehabilitated him and returned him to university seats.”
Rewarding the regime by returning it to the Arab League is not a return to Syria, but rather ignoring the will of the Syrian people.
The statement stressed the need for a full political transition in Syria in accordance with International Resolution 2254 and the need for Assad and his regime’s criminals to be held accountable and prosecuted.
The National Coalition reaffirmed its commitment to the principles and just demands of the Syrian people and to continue its revolution until it reaches the new Syria, a Syria with freedom, dignity, democracy and independence.
The declaration concluded by reassuring all the Arab people, who have never given up on their revolution in the freedom and pride marches that they started 12 years ago and will continue until victory, and who are always by their side.
